A range of behavioral health treatment and intervention services
SPIN offers a range of behavioral health treatment and intervention services, tailored to each child’s individual need:
- Autism Center for Excellence: SPIN was named an Autism Center for Excellence in Philadelphia; a designation of Philadelphia Community Behavioral Health, the City’s Medicaid managed-care organization. SPIN provides services for children and young adults through age 21 who have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having autism.
SPIN’s autism services include:
- Outpatient Clinical Services to provide psychiatric medication management and counseling for children and families, as well as adults by clinicians who specialize in working with those with neurodevelopmental challenges
- Comprehensive Assessment to determine if a child has autism or other behavioral health condition first identified in childhood
- Social Skills Groups to support youth to develop necessary social skills
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) An evidence-based, intensive behavior support and skill acquisition approach to establish and enhance socially important behaviors
- Group ABA for children in SPIN’s Early Childhood Programs
- Blended Case Management to connect families to resources
- Parent Peer Support and Parent training to help families build their natural networks of support
