Autism Acceptance Month | Meet Vada
Vada is a bright and friendly student in Ms. Lindsay’s Pre-K classroom. At the age of two, Vada was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder through SPIN’s Behavioral Health and Autism Services and began receiving in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Last year, she joined Ms. Colleen’s Early Intervention classroom before transitioning to Pre-K this past fall. Vada received supports through SPIN’s Early Childhood Intensive Treatment (ECIT) program, and within this setting her language and social skills have flourished. Vada has made so much progress acquiring skills that she no longer needs ABA supports and will be successfully discharging in May 2024! Thank you to Vada’s incredible family as well as all of Vada’s clinical and educational team members across SPIN’s Children’s Programs who have helped her achieve success and true inclusivity!
