Message from SPIN’s New CEO – Judy Dotzman
This is a very humbling time for me. It reminds me of my very first day at SPIN 37 years ago. I was so excited to join the organization where, through my volunteer experience at Camp SPIN, I found my sense of purpose and pride. It was a perfect fit and it remains to be. I love this organization and I began my lifetime career at SPIN that day believing that SPIN was filled with integrity, empowering people and ultimately making the world a better place. I honor and appreciate David and Trina and the founding families for “doing it themselves” and meeting the needs of the community while creating an inclusive organization.
I have been so fortunate and I am so grateful to Kathy for her vision, extraordinary leadership, mentorship, trust and confidence. Additionally, I have received this trust and support from the Corporate Board, SPIN employees, people we support, families and the entire SPIN community. I share my deepest appreciation and commit my intention to live up to this trust every day.
Many people know that I believe strongly in the phrase It Takes A Village and we have the greatest Village there is. It takes deep respect of one another, a sense of belonging and even greater and stronger partnerships always. Our mission and commitment to supporting a life of possibilities for everyone requires a people first approach in all that we do; people and families need to be able to count on us through our successes and our challenges to deliver the highest quality services and supports. It is the people to people work that inspires and motivates me past, present and future.
I am excited, grateful and honored to build our future together and share this journey with all of you. I know that we can count on you to join me in continuing a culture that includes all people.
Judy
