Meet Ryder! ⭐

Ryder is a four-year-old who attends the Applied Behavior Analysis Early Childhood (ABA EC) program at SPIN Orthodox. The ABA EC program supports the developmental, behavioral and social needs of young children with Autism through the use of naturalistic interventions. Ryder started in the ABA classroom in October and we are beyond proud to celebrate the incredible progress he has made! Ryder has made impressive gains in functional communication skills (using vocal words, communication device, and icons), imitation skills, functional play skills, labeling items, and even playing alongside his peers! Ryder is learning new words and ways to connect with others every day, and his journey has been so inspiring.

The progress in each of these skill areas represents hard work, patience, and perseverance, and Ryder has shown us just how powerful growth can be when everyone works together. Ryder is fiercely loved and supported by his teams at SPIN, including his Behavior Consultant, Kelly, Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) Jasmine, Cayden, Anne, Tom, and Gina, Early Intervention Special Instructor Thomasina, Blended Case Manager Maritza, Family Resource Coordinator Faye and our management team. Ryder also enjoys spending time in both of our Orthodox ABA classrooms, so thanks to our other Behavior Consultant, Kaitlyn, for supporting Ryder’s success as well.

We also can’t talk about progress without highlighting the incredible role his amazing mom plays 💟 She is a fierce advocate, a consistent presence at caregiver training, an active member of our SPIN Caregiver Support Groups, and stays closely connected with all his service teams to make sure Ryder has every opportunity to thrive. Ryder’s mom advocated to strongly to get him connected to services and wants other parents of children with Autism feel empowered to do the same. Her dedication is felt in everything she does!

We are so honored to be part of Ryder’s journey and can’t wait to see what’s next. Every milestone matters, and today, we’re celebrating BIG! 💙 👏

Ryder: keep reaching, keep growing, and keep believing. The future is so bright for you, superstar!
