Community Center is Honored for Business Excellence and Efforts to Create Healthier Lifestyles

Philadelphia – (September 2018) – SPIN Community & Fitness has been honored in the inaugural MINDBODY Visionary Awards, given for business excellence in fitness, beauty and wellness industries.

“The MINDBODY Visionary Awards are our way of celebrating the businesses owners we serve, for both their success and for how they translate that into helping their communities live healthier, happier lives,” said Rick Stollmeyer, MINDBODY CEO and co-founder. “Connecting the world to wellness starts in our own backyards, and our honorees deserve to be recognized for their commitment and achievements.”

Formerly known as Norcom Community Center, SPIN Community & Fitness is a gathering place for family, fitness, and fun. Operated by SPIN, a nonprofit human services organization, SPIN Community & Fitness welcomes children and adults of all abilities and seeks to provide a Life of Possibilities by offering physical, recreational, arts and educational activities to shape healthy and meaningful lifestyles.

After a rebrand of the Center in 2017, SPIN introduced its fresh new name, enhancements to its fitness center, as well as a new mobile app – SPINComFit – and MINDBODY software making involvement in fitness activities a breeze with the ability to sign-up for classes, learn about upcoming events and more.

“We are thrilled that SPIN Community & Fitness has been honored with the MINDBODY Visionary Award,” said Kathy McHale, president & CEO of SPIN. “SPIN Community & Fitness has always been a welcoming place where people make friends and break barriers on the road to healthy lives. Thank you to MINDBODY for acknowledging our business efforts and commitment to creating healthier lives in our community.”

The MINDBODY Visionary Award is given to businesses who have an average monthly revenue in the top 30% of all MINDBODY customers between January and June 2018.
