Partners For Possibilities Celebration
[vc_row row_type=”row” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]SPIN hosted its 5th Annual Partners for Possibilities Celebration gala at Cescaphe Ballroom to celebrate a life of possibilities for children and adults with autism and intellectual disability. With over 200 friends, supporters and business leaders gathered for the non-profit’s marque fundraiser, SPIN honored several outstanding community members who have gone above and beyond to support SPIN services.
“Our six honorees are not just SPIN supporters, but members of the SPIN family,” said Kathy Brown McHale, president and CEO of SPIN. “Each one of them has welcomed the children and adults we support into their hearts, and it’s because of partners like these that we are able to create a life of possibilities for people with autism and intellectual disability.”
Following a performance by the SPIN Choir, an inclusive group of singers, Brown McHale alongside SPIN Executive Director Judy Dotzman and Corporate Officer Mindy Lederhandler Lutts presented awards to: Michelle & Glenn Kornegay, directors of the SPIN Choir with the Trina Losinno “Make a Difference” Award; Joanne Leonard, SPIN founding member with the Family Partner Award; Eleanor and John O’Brien and Denise O’Rourke, longtime SPIN supporters and active members of SPIN’s Norcom Community Center with the Fundraising Partner Award. These honorees were awarded for their commitment to SPIN and efforts to support its services.
In addition to the awards ceremony, guests and event sponsors including Steven Rubin & Francine Russo and Republic Bank celebrated SPIN’s 47 year history helping to bring the non-profit’s mission to life. Party goers bid on silent auction items to raise funds for SPIN services, and enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and musical entertainment all in support of people with autism and intellectual disability.
