SPIN Pre-K Children Received Book Donation and Hosted Reading Celebration with McDonald’s & Councilman Brian O’Neill

PHILADELPHIA (October 11, 2019) – Pre-K children from SPIN’s Early Childhood Center in Parkwood were visited by McDonald’s as it donated 120 books to SPIN’s Pre-K programs. Councilman Brian O’Neill was onsite to read the new books to the children ages 3 – 5 years to encourage and inspire a passion for reading, which is a goal of the Reading is Fundamental campaign.

The books donated to SPIN celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing and the 40th Anniversary of the Happy Meal, as the books are from the “Discovery Space with Snoopy” series. To further the day’s festivities, McDonald’s provided healthy treats to the children from the Happy Meal.
